Pertinent School Information
Good Shepherd School is accredited by the State of Indiana, Department of Education. Good Shepherd is a K – 8 school offering a full-day kindergarten program. Good Shepherd is located at 2301 N. Stockwell Road in Evansville, Indiana. Stockwell Road is west of Green River Road. School/Parish boundaries are as follows:
Southern: Division Street extending from Boeke Rd. due east to Vanderburgh-Warrick County line
Western: N. Boeke Rd. extending from Division St. north to State Hwy. 62 & then due west on Hwy. 62 to its junction with Oak Hill Rd. and then continuing in a northeasterly direction along Oak Hill Rd. and Blue Grass Rd. to Heckel Rd.
Northern: Heckel Rd. from its junction with Oak Hill (Blue Grass) Rd., extending in an easterly direction to the County Line & then due east along the Warrick-Vanderburgh Co. line to the eastern extremity of Vanderburgh County
Eastern: Vanderburgh-Warrick Co. Line south to old State Hwy. 62 and then east on the old State Hwy. 62 to Stevenson Rd. and due south on said road to the new State Hwy. 62 & continuing in a southwesterly direction along said highway to the Vanderburgh-Warrick Co. line and then due south to Lloyd Expressway.
N. Boeke: The people living on both sides of Boeke Road belong to Good Shepherd.
Good Shepherd School is supported by Good Shepherd Catholic Church. No
tuition is charged, but the financial burdens of the school are met by all of
the parishioners’ commitment to the Sunday contribution to the Church. We ask
all members with or without children to give 5% to the Sunday collection, 1%
to the CPC, 2% to the School Building Renovations, 2% to other charities, and
buy or sell social chances.
