MINISTERING TO THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN TOUCHED BY ABORTION
Time:  1 HOUR
Fall 2021

It’s time to make Congressional phones ring off the hook!
CLICK TO CALL CONGRESS
Can you spare 30 seconds for unborn babies?

Click the button above to call Congress. (Once your address is entered, a green icon of a phone will appear next to your representative and senators. Click the phone for a short script of what to say and the phone number to call.)

Last week, the House Committee on Appropriations voted to push through four of the most extreme pro-abortion bills EVER. The full House is expected to begin voting on these bills next week.

These bills take away the pro-life policies that:

  • protect taxpayers from having to pay for elective abortions, both here and overseas;
  • protect health care providers from being forced to perform abortions or refer for abortions against their beliefs;
  • protect employers and insurance companies from being forced to pay for abortion.

Don’t let our government make you pay for, or participate in, the taking of innocent human life. Call now (even if you already emailed)!

National Catholic Youth Conference Information from the   Office of Youth and Young Adult-Steve Dabrowski
The Diocesan NCYC website is now updated with the latest information.  As we are still awaiting final waivers and the NCYC online registration portal information from the NFCYM, the site will continue to be updated as these items become available; however, group leaders should visit the Dicoesan NCYC site to reserve your spots and download the youth and adult registration packets that will be used once the online registration portal is functional.

Since the NFCYM is late in proving key information, please be aware that a couple items may need to be updated:

  • The Diocesan Registration packets contain an updated version of the 2019 NFCYM Waiver.  Should the NFCYM publish a substantially different waiver form later this summer, group leaders would need to have that form completed and signed by parents and adult participants instead of the form included in the packet.  If this were to occur, only the NFCYM waiver would need to be replaced, the diocesan forms would remain the same.
  • The NFCYM has yet to issue registration or substitution (i.e., drop/add) deadlines.  As such, these may change from those listed on the diocesan website should the NFCYM deadlines differ from previous years.
Group leaders should complete the Diocesan Reservation Form listed on the NCYC website  in order to reserve spots for their group.  The number of participants entered on this form is what will be used to pay the $100/participant deposit due before August 16th.  Please be sure to fill out your group information as this is the only means we have of determining our diocesan group size.

Finally, the total cost per participant in 2021 will be $365.  This is being subsidized by the Louise Becker Youth Endowment due to the fact that many families have been impacted by the pandemic and subsequent economic conditions.  Individual need-based scholarships will still be available, but these should be limited to those with a serious financial need.

As always, please contact me with any questions.  We look forward to being with you at NCYC this November.

-Steve
