RCIA and GriefShare Updates

RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) – Are you, or someone you know, a person who wonders why Catholics do the things they do? Been discerning an interest in becoming Catholic? Was baptized Catholic as a child, but has not celebrated the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist? Or has a child over the age of seven who has not baptized? Or just been away from the faith for awhile? Then RCIA could be the answer.  Come explore what this program has to offer and ask questions on Monday, September 9, at 6:00 pm in the Church conference room.  If you have any questions prior to the meeting, please feel free to contact Sue Kroupa at skroupa@evdio.org or 812.477.5707.

GriefShare – Your bereavement experience may be recent or not so recent. You will find encouragement, comfort and help in grieving the death of a spouse, child, parent, sibling, other family member, or friend. No matter what the cause of your loved one’s death, this is an opportunity to be around people who understand what you are feeling. You will learn how to recognize the symptoms of being stuck in grief and that you do not need to live in bondage to certain emotions. You will learn valuable information about facing your new normal in life and renewing your hope for the future. Confidentiality is a major part of this program.

The next 13-week session will begin on Tuesday, September 10, from 6:15-8:00 pm in the Church conference room.  There is no fee to attend.

2019-02-03 Post: Vacation Bible School Coordinator – Natalie Neisen

Update: May 13, 2019:  We are going to postpone Vacation Bible School until 2020. A major reason for this is getting started later than needed. In order to put on a successful VBS for the children, we need more time to plan and order everything.

Thank you to everyone who was willing to volunteer this summer. We will start planning next summer’s VBS months in advance. Thank you again for being willing to give of your time and talent to our parish and the children.

God bless,
Natalie Neisen
