Weekend Mass Announcements:

Twenty-Eighth Sunday in Ordinary Time – Year C (10/12/2019-10/13/2019)

  • The Knights of Columbus will be in the Narthax after Mass selling tuition raffle tickets.
  • Confirmation will be next Saturday, October 19th.
  • There are forms for our annual Cheese-Ball fundraiser in the Narthax.
  • There will be no Adoration this Thursday, October 17th due to the diocesan Respect Life Celebration. If you are interested in attending, Mass will be at 5:30pm. Sign-up online if you would like to attend the dinner and discussion that follows.

Twenty-Seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time – Year C (10/05/2019-10/06/2019)

  • The Knights of Columbus will be in the Narthax after Mass selling tuition raffle tickets.
  • There are still several openings for the Fall Festival Booth. Please check the schedule in the Narthax if you are able to volunteer.
  • Ruth’s Circle will meet this Thursday at 9:00am.

Twenty-Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time – Year C (09/28/2019-09/29/2019)

  • We will be kicking off our annual Catholic Parishes Campaign this weekend.
  • All are welcome to join Father Zach and their pets for the St. Francis Blessing of Animals at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 5th by the picnic table outside the entrance to Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
  • There are sign-up sheets in the Narthex for October’s Over 50’s gathering, this Wednesday at 11:30am.
  • We are in desperate need of help for volunteers to work our Fall Festival Booth. Right now we have less than 50% of our shifts filled, and especially need volunteers to help work on Friday and Saturday. Please sign-up in the Narthax if you are available.

Twenty-Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time – Year C (09/21/2019 – 09/22/2019)

  • We will be kicking off our annual Catholic Parishes Campaign next weekend.
  • All are welcome to join Father Zach and their pets for the St. Francis Blessing of Animals at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 5th by the picnic table outside the entrance to Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
  • There are sign-up sheets in the Narthex for October’s Over 50’s gathering.
  • From November 2019 to December 202, our Diocese of Evansville will be celebrating our 75th Anniversary. Each parish has been asked to choose 75 things they plan to do to show the Love of Christ to others. Our Parish Council approved the $7,500 donation we recently sent to our sister parish – St. Rose of Lima in Pilate Haiti as our primary showing of Love. We are also looking for 75 (+) volunteers to help staff our Fall Festival booth. Sign up sheets are located in the Narthex.
  • (Sunday only) Please visit the Holy Arts display in the Narthex. Proceeds from their sells support Catholic families who are living in Bethlehem, Palestine and the Holy Lands. They have hand-carved nativity sets, statues, crosses, and many other pieces of beautiful olive wood art. They gladly accept cash, checks and all major Credit Cards.

Twenty-Fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time – Year C (09/14/2019 – 09/15/2019)

  • We would like to thank our 7th graders for hosting hospitality with cookies and donuts after all the masses this weekend. They will be greeting people after mass.
  • There are sign-up sheets in the Narthex to work our Fall Festival booth.
  • There are registration forms in the Narthex for the St. Vincent de Paul Friends of the Poor Walk on Saturday, September 21st.
  • We will be having our annual Dad’s Kickball tournament in one week on Saturday, September 21st. We will be moving mass outside by the soccer fields at 4:30pm, depending on weather. Please bring lawn chairs to sit in.

Twenty-Third Sunday in Ordinary Time – Year C (09/07/2019 – 09/08/2019)

  • There are sign-up sheets in the Narthex to work our Fall Festival booth.
  • GriefShare will be begin a 13-week session this Tuesday from 6:15-8:00 in the Church conference room.
  • For those interested in RCIA, there will be a meeting to ask questions and inquire on Monday at 6:00 in the Church conference room. Please email Sue Kroupa or call the Parish Office if you have any questions.

  • Our first Over 50’s meeting will be this Wednesday, September 4th. Mass will be at 11:30am with a BBQ lunch to follow. Signup sheets are in the Narthax.

Twenty-First Sunday in Ordinary Time – Year C (08/24/2019 – 08/25/2019)

  • Haiti Update: August 30th is the feast day of St. Rose of Lima, the patron saint of our twinning sister parish.  To commemorate this occasion, we have scheduled a second collection for this weekend.   Situations in Haiti continue to be difficult for parish members.  Your donations will assist in providing an education to poor children at St. Rose.  Please continue to pray for the parishioners of St. Rose and all the people of Haiti.
  • We would like to thank our 8th-graders for hosting hospitality with cookies and donuts after all masses this weekend. They will be greeting parishioners outside the front doors.

  • Over the past 12 months the children’s collection has brought in over $1100. With these funds we were able to purchase various items needed for new preschool classrooms. The items are on display in the Narthax after all masses this weekend.
