Second Sunday of Ordinary Time – Year A (1/18/2020-1/19/2020)

  • All children ages 9-14 are invited to participate in the local Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship held in the Good Shepherd gymnasium at 2:45pm this Thursday January 24th. Entry forms are available on the day of the event.
  • This Tuesday, January 21st, Adoration and Mass will be dedicated to the legal protection of unborn children.
  • Next Sunday, January 26th, we will be having a Red Cross Blood Drive in the Cafeteria from 8:00am-12:00pm. For those donating, there will be a hot meal provided by the Confirmation class. Please sign-up in the Narthax after Mass.

The Baptism of the Lord – Year A (1/11/2020-1/12/2020)

  • Due to the current status of the flu season, we have been encouraged to temporarily suspend Holy Communion from the chalice and the shaking of hands at the “Sign of Peace”.
  • We will be taking down the Christmas trees, stable and other decorations after the 10:30am Mass this weekend. Please plan to stay after to help if you can.
  • (10:30 only): Please feel free to take a poinsettia home after Mass.

The Epiphany of the Lord – Year A (1/4/2020-1/5/2020)

  • Heavenly Dusters will meet this Tuesday at 7:30am.
  • There are still some free books out in the Narthax from our Cursillo team. We have “Rediscovering the Saints” and “Confessions of a Mega Church Pastor.” Please take one if you are interested.
  • Next weekend we will be taking down the Christmas trees, stable and other decorations. Please plan to stay after the 10:30am Mass next Sunday January 12th to help if you are able.

Holy Family – Year A (12/28/2019-12/29/2019)

  • Ruth’s Circle will meet in the conference room on Thursday January 9th at 9:00am.
  • The Parish Office will be closed this Tuesday and Wednesday due to the holidays.
  • Our Mass times for the Holy Day of Mary, Mother of God will be on Tuesday at 4:30pm and Wednesday at 8:00am.

Christmas – Year A (12/24/2019-12/25/2019)

  • Our Masses for the Feast of Holy Mary, Mother of God will be on New Year’s Eve at 4:30pm and New Year’s Day at 8:00am.
  • As a gift from our Good Shepherd Cursillo families, we have the book “Rediscovering the Saints” by Matthew Kelly for each family. Please only take on book per family.

Fourth Sunday of Advent – Year A (12/21/2019-12/22/2019)

  • The Parish office is open from 8:00-5:00 Monday, and closed the rest of the week due to the Holidays.
  • (4:30 & 10:30) There will be no Children’s Liturgy this weekend.
  • Our Masses on Christmas Eve will be at 4:30 (with prelude music at 4:00), and 10:30pm that evening (prelude music starts at 10:00).
  • Mass on Christmas Day will be at 9:00am.
  • There will still be daily Mass on Thursday and Friday this week.
  • St. John’s Daylight will be hosting Cluster Reconciliation this Sunday at 1:00pm.

Third Sunday of Advent – Year A (12/14/2019-12/15/2019)

  • Ministry sign-up sheets for Christmas and New Year’s Masses are in a binder in the Narthax.
  • This year Good Shepherd’s Giving Tree Program will be collecting monetary donations for our Sister Parish in Haiti and for Missionary work in Bosnia. A collection box is in the Narthax by the Christmas tree.
  • Following the 10:30am Mass, we will be setting up the Christmas trees and stable. Please plan to stay after mass to help if you can.
  • We would like to thank our 4th graders for hosting hospitality with cookies and donuts after all the Masses this weekend. They will be in the Narthax to greet you after Mass.

  • There are 2020 calendars in the Narthax for anyone who would like one.

  • Good Shepherd is hosting a cluster reconciliation service this Sunday at 1:00pm.

Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe – Year C (11/23/2019-11/24/2019)

  • The next Over 50’s Mass and Luncheon will be Wednesday, December 4th. A sign-up sheet is in the Narthax.
  • If you ordered Cheeseballs, they are ready to be picked up after Mass this weekend. For those that did not pre-order, there is a limited number of cheeseballs available for purchase.
  • Good Shepherd will host a cluster reconciliation service on Sunday, December 1st at 1:00pm.
  • This week, our School Mass will on Tuesday morning at 7:40am. We will still have our regular Masses on Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning, but Thanksgiving Mass will be at 9am. See the bulletin for a full list of times.
