My name is Christopher (Chris) Clodfelter. I am married to Kimberly Clodfelter. We have two children, Zane Clodfelter and Rae Marissa Zirkelbach, son in law Warren Zirkelbach, and our grandson Barrett Zirkelbach. We are excited to meet our second grandbaby the first week of May. I made the decision to join the Catholic Churchon Easter of 2021. Our family attended an Easter Vigil the night before and I felt at peace and felt the Holy Spirit in the church. I have been blessed to know great people that live their lives as with the Catholic faith and many continue to support and encourage me. I would like to honor my in laws, Richard and Bette Zeller that raised Kimberly in the Catholic faith. I am also thankful for my late parents and the conversations I had with my father weeks before his death. We discussed my wish to become Catholic. He fully supported my decision because he knew it would make me happy. We both had concerns with the messages we were hearing from our denomination. I have learned so much in RCIA classes that have strengthened my faith. I was looking for a deeper understanding of God and found it in the Catholic Church.
My name is Holly Tharp Fehn. I am married to Josh Fehn and we have one son, Pike. I moved to Evansville in 2010 to attend the University of Southern Indiana and never left. I have chosen to join the Catholic faith so that our home is unified in faith to raise our family. My husband Josh was raised Catholic and attended Good Shepherd School himself. Our son Pike was baptized by Father Zach this past fall and will be attending Little Rams Preschool for the 2022-2023 school year. We are so excited to be a part of the Good Shepherd community.
My name is Jason Lyons, and I work at SS&C as a Software Quality Analyst. I initially chose the Catholic faith because I wanted a closer connection to my girlfriend, Kelly Wolfe, and her daughter, Ellison Wolfe, as they are both active Parishioners. During RCIA, I discovered that I was learning more about myself as I was learning about the Catholic faith. Meeting and connecting with like-minded people has been an amazing experience.
My name is Sharon Dwanyen Mhango. I am married to Solomon Dwanyen Mhango. We have four children: Madelyn (16), Solomon (10), Nehemiah (6), and Dehlu (3). I am primarily a stay-at-home mom, but also work as an Academic Coordinator for a cultural exchange program for high school students. I enjoy reading, cross-stitching, figure skating, and spending quality time with my family. I am becoming Catholic because I want to receive Jesus in the Eucharist and experience communion with Christ more deeply.
We pray for our new members and congratulate them. God bless you all.
ARISE HOLY HOUR
Our next Arise Holy Hour has been rescheduled for April 24 at 7:00 PM. Come join us for this wonderful experience.

Friday at 11:00 AM
to pray for Ukraine & Russia
If you cannot attend, please join us in praying the following prayer for Ukraine.
God of Peace and Justice,
we pray for those caught up
in the current violence in Ukraine.
We implore you for peace.
Holy Spirit, Our Consolation,
comfort all those who fear.
Grant wisdom and discernment
to those in power.
Holy Family, who fled to Egypt,
guard all those who have sought refuge
away from the land they love,
and bring them safely home again.
Mary, Mother of us all,
cast your protecting veil
around all suffering lands and peoples.
Turn all hearts back to your Son,
our only Savior and the Prince of Peace.
Amen.
Prayer implores the swift aid of Heaven, and
the Rosary in particular is a powerful
means of obtaining peace.
Our Lady of Fatima especially
begged us to pray the Rosary
for peace in the world.
Answer her call and join us in seeking her help
for the people of Ukraine in their time of need.
We’ve created a limited edition “Pray for
Ukraine” rosary to help you faithfully
and fervently pray for their nation.

Synod Listening Session
March 17, 6:30 PM
St. John, Daylight
What is a Synod?
It is a gathering of bishops. In 2023, there will be a Synod of Bishops gathering in Rome. In preparation for that Synod, there is a diocesan phase and a national phase. We are now gathering information in the Diocesan phase.
During the Diocesan phase, there will be listening sessions and surveys to get a sense of how people journey together in the Church, that is, how they walk with other people and how they are helped (or not helped) by the Church. These listening sessions are focused on the experience of our people, not on ideas or abstract concepts.
From the listening sessions, we will develop a synthesis that will go to the USCCB (United States Conference of Catholic Bishops), which will synthesize all the contributions from dioceses across the U.S. The Vatican will then take all the contributions from across the world and use them to create a preparatory document for the Synod of Bishops in 2023.
How can we participate?
Please attend the Listening Session at St. John the Evangelist, Daylight. If you are unable to attend, there will be an online survey you can use to offer your experience of journeying together. We encourage as many people as possible to attend the listening sessions.
Please check our website daily for updates.
