Volunteer Appreciation Gathering and Final Report Update

We held a celebration event to show our sincere appreciation for all of our volunteer efforts during the Honoring Our Traditions – Building Our Future capital campaign.  The ice cream social was held on Monday, June 9, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. In the School Cafeteria.

Update – May 29, 2025

After two consecutive nights of Phone-A-Thons, our Forward in Faith-Building Our Future Campaign has currently gathered $4,844,004 Pledged Dollars.  For those who haven’t already made their financial gift commitments, please join those who have and help us minimize the amount we will be requesting for a Diocesan Loan to complete both Phases I and II.  If you have already participated in the campaign drive and are able to give a little more, that will also be appreciated. 

With everyone’s support, our campaign will be more successful and complete.

Honoring Our Traditions Building Our Future Campaign

As Pastor at Good Shepherd Catholic Parish, I used this weekend’s homily and start of Catholic Schools Week 2025 to announce that Good Shepherd Catholic Church and Good Shepherd Catholic School have joined Mater Dei and Reitz Memorial High Schools with our own Capital Campaign, thus moving forward with Phases I and II (Church Renovation and Little Rams School Extension).
 
We’ve been praying our Long Term Prayer for several years now. By June 22, 2025, we hope to celebrate the Success of the Honoring Our Traditions Building Our Future Campaign and begin moving forward late summer and early Fall with renovation and construction plans. Stay tuned for more details and involvement opportunities during the next few weeks and months.
