Upcoming Retreats and Workshops at Saint Meinrad

Dear Retreatants and Friends,

Hello from the Archabbey Guest House & Retreat Center! As we move into this season of Thanksgiving and praise, we are happy to reflect on a beautiful year of retreats, our gratitude to you for joining us in prayer, and our many opportunities in the new year.

We are also so excited to introduce this new format for our retreat newsletters and updates. If you have any questions or concerns, please email us at guestservices@saintmeinrad.edu.

Peace,
Corinna Waggoner
Director of Retreat Programs

by Jane Feliz Rush

Discernment is not just a prayerful process for the young, but an ongoing spiritual progression that can help us all to remember and live out our baptismal call. If you are looking for guidance, feeling stuck, or wondering if you light has dimmed, spend a day in reflection and prayer.

Guest House and Retreat Center
Thanks to our generous benefactors, we were so happy to welcome approximately 20 young adults to the Hill for subsidized retreat opportunities in 2023. These visits were not formally structured but gave young adults an introduction to personal retreats and provided a place for individual prayer, quiet, and rest. We met single adults, married couples, and friends between the ages of 20 and 35.

Be sure to keep an eye on our website and future newsletters for additional opportunities at our Guest House and Retreat Center!

If you have any questions about young adult opportunities at Saint Meinrad, please email Fr. Simon Herrmann, OSB, at yae@saintmeinrad.edu.

What’s New?
After many impressive years of service in our Retreat Program, Br. Maurus Zoeller, OSB, has retired. Our Retreat Program Coordinator, Corinna Waggoner, is now serving as our Director of Retreat Programs.

Corinna Waggoner, a native of Evanston, IN, first began working at the Guest House and Retreat Center in 2018. She then left for a few years to gain additional experience in New York City, but has since returned to us! Corinna (pronounced kor-ee-na) has now been involved with the Retreat Program for two years. As she is settling into the traditions of the Guest House and her retreat ministry, she is participating in more and more of our activities – you may see her sitting in on some conferences while you are here with us!

Corinna received her undergraduate degree from Indiana University – Jacobs School of Music, specializing in Clarinet Performance and Arts Management. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Theology from Saint Meinrad Seminary & School of Theology. Her hobbies include crafting, reading, gardening, and, most recently, learning the Great Highland bagpipes.

Let us keep Br. Maurus and Corinna in our prayers, and do be sure to stop by to say hello next time you are on the Hill!
